I participate in the event "Yoga For Karuna" to support the humanitarian projects of the Karuna-Shechen association founded by Matthieu Ricard, Buddhist monk, photographer, author, humanitarian, and French translator of the Dalai Lama, and I need you!
Karuna-Shechen is a non-profit organization founded in 2000. It has been developing and managing programs in primary health care, education, and social services for the under-served populations of India, Nepal, and Tibet.
In 2018, over 400,000 people benefited from Karuna-Shechen’s programs. Examples of recent projects completed by Karuna-Shechen in the last two years include building schools in isolated locations, and providing shelters, food, clothes to the children they host, renovations of schools that were not working anymore, installation of solar electricity in villages of Nepal and India, a comprehensive earthquake relief program in Nepal and much more.
Yoga For Karuna is a solidarity event that will take place all over the world for three days (19, 20, 21 October) with hundreds of yoga teachers offering yoga classes to collect donations to support the assocation. I will myself give a class on Saturday 20th October at 15:00 in Hayarkon Park in Tel Aviv (opposite to 50 Kosovsky Street). You can register to this class by making a donation here. If you cannot/do not want to participate in the class, you can still make a donation. You can see the event on the Facebook link: https://www.facebook.com/events/484242782055629/
My fundraising goal is 250 USD, let's reach it all toghether !
